The Complete Structure of the Core Oligosaccharide from Edwardsiella tarda EIB 202 Lipopolysaccharide

2017

The chemical structure and genomics of the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) core oligosaccharide of pathogenic Edwardsiella tarda strain EIB 202 were studied for the first time. The complete gene assignment for all LPS core biosynthesis gene functions was acquired. The complete structure of core oligosaccharide was investigated by 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry MSn, and matrix-assisted laser-desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry. The following structure of the undecasaccharide was established: The heterogeneous appearance of the core oligosaccharide structure was due to the partial lack of β-d-Galp and the replace…

The New Structure of Core Oligosaccharide Presented by Proteus penneri 40A and 41 Lipopolysaccharides

2018

The new type of core oligosaccharide in Proteus penneri 40A and 41 lipopolysaccharides has been investigated by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry and chemical methods. Core oligosaccharides of both strains were chosen for structural analysis based on the reactivity of LPSs with serum against P. penneri 40A core oligosaccharide–diphtheria toxoid conjugate. Structural analyses revealed that P. penneri 40A and 41 LPSs possess an identical core oligosaccharide.

Sanailua, suunsoittoa ja syrjintää : Nuorten kokemuksia pelikäytöksestä

2022

Artikkelissa tarkastellaan laadullisen kyselyaineiston (N=180) avulla suomenkielisten, 15–25-vuotiaiden nuorten kokemuksia pelikäytöksestä digitaalisten pelien parissa. This article explores …

Surfactant self-assembling in gas phase: electrospray ionization- and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-mass spectrometry of singly charged…

2005

The self-assembling of sodium bis (2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinate (AOT) in gas phase has been investigated by electrospray ionization- and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry. Large surfactant clusters with an aggregation number close to that found in apolar media have been observed either as positive or negative ions. Moreover, the marked predominance of singly charged species as well as preliminary theoretical calculations strongly suggest an aggregate structure characterized by an internal hydrophilic core hosting the extra charge surrounded by an apolar shell constituted by the surfactant alkyl chains. This structure is similar to that of the more familiar revers…

2018

The paper explores the link between human becoming and biographical narrative, within the empathy-centred existential dialogue. The existential dialogue should not be assimilated to a psychotherapeutic method: it is, rather, a special care relationship within an educational perspective. In a semiological analysis, the existential dialogue is an interaction shaped according to an empathetic code and giving rise to a peculiar relational regulation system based on: 1. demandingness (or control), linked to authority and competence; 2. emotional responsiveness (or empathetic contact), linked to socio-affective interaction; 3. authenticity (or congruence), linked to transparency in speaking. In a…

Supramolecular Aggregates in Vacuum: Positively Mono-Charged Sodium Alkanesulfonate Clusters

2010

The formation and structural features of positively mono-charged aggregates of sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinate (AOT) and sodium methane—(MetS), butane—(ButS) and octane—(OctS) sulfonate molecules in the gas phase have been investigated by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, energy-resolved mass spectrometry and density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The experimental results show that the center-of-mass collision energy required to dissociate 50% of these mono-charged aggregates scantly depends on the length of the alkyl chain as well as on the aggregation number. This, together with the large predominance of mono-charged species in the mass spectra, was rationalized i…

Il danno ambientale esistenziale

2016

AMBIENTE E TUTELA INDIVIDUALE INTERGENERAZIONALE

2020

2011

Giuseppe Antonio Borgese (Polizzi Generosa 1882 – Fiesole 1952), émigrés in the United States to escape fascist intimidations, during 1934 and 1935 devotes himself to the writing of an historical and political essay about the rise of fascism in Italy. "Goliath, the March of Fascism", published in 1937 in English language by Viking Press of New York, has indeed the main purpose of calling the attention of the Italian and International public opinion about the moral and political decadence of the Mussolini era. This article provides a deep analysis of Goliath, both from a thematic and ideological perspective, aiming to focus the correspondences between the exile’s book and the intellectual’s …
